Michael Raam

Michael Raam, President & CEO

Michael has over 20 years of experience managing engineering development and business teams in both silicon and system level startups and large corporations. Prior to SandForce, Michael was VP Engineering at AMCC in charge of two business units (Networking and Telecom) in the PowerPC division, and prior to that, he held VP and executive level positions at Mobilygen, Procket Networks, Maple Optical Systems, Chameleon Systems, and Toshiba. Michael earned his MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan and his BS in Electrical Engineering from Cal State Polytechnic University, Pomona, CA.

Steffen Hellmold

Steffen Hellmold, Vice President, Business Development

Steffen has over 15 years of experience in marketing and business development for storage and semiconductor products. Prior to SandForce, Steffen was VP Marketing & Business Development, Memory Products at Seagate Technology, and prior to that, he held executive management and business development positions at Lexar Media (a Micron subsidiary), Samsung Semiconductor, SMART Modular Technologies, Fujitsu Microelectronics, and Dell Computer. Steffen earned his MS in Electrical Engineering and MBA from Technische Universität Darmstadt.

Ray Holzworth

Ray Holzworth, Vice President, Operations

Ray has over 30 years of semiconductor operations experience. Prior to SandForce, Ray was VP Operations at Magnum Semiconductor, and prior to that, he held VP & executive level positions at Atrua, Transmeta, and PLX Technology. Ray earned his MS in Material Science from the University of Florida, MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford, and MBA from San Jose State University.

Thad Omura

Thad Omura, Vice President, Marketing

Thad has over 14 years of experience in marketing and selling complex computing, networking, and storage semiconductor products. Prior to SandForce, Thad was VP Product Marketing at Mellanox Technologies, and prior to that, he held senior marketing and sales positions at Motorola (now FreeScale), Marvell, and Galileo Technology (acquired by Marvell). Thad earned his BS in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.

Matt Ready

Matt Ready, Vice President, Sales

Matt has over 25 years of semiconductor sales experience managing sales organizations for both emerging technology startups as well as multi-national publically traded companies. Prior to SandForce, Matt was VP of Worldwide Sales at eASIC, PLX Technology, Zeevo (acquired by Broadcom), Genesis Microchip (acquired by ST Microelectronics), Array Microsystems and OPTi. Matt earned his BS in Business Administration from San Jose State University.

Steven Rowe

Steven Rowe, J.D., Corporate Administration & Human Resources

Steven has over 20 years experience in employment law, human resources, management development, and organizational strategies. Prior to SandForce, Steven was a founder and principal of HRDynamics, LLC, a human resources and management consulting firm, and prior to that, he served as President & COO of Colliers International. Steven has also held executive level positions in corporate administration and human resources at PDF Solutions, Trident Microsystems, OPTi Semiconductor, and Olivetti Advanced Technology Center. Steven earned his B.A. in Public Law from Cal State University, Chico, and a J.D. from Lincoln University Law School.

Andy Tomlin

Andy Tomlin, Vice President, Firmware & Software

Andy has over 20 years of storage firmware and software experience and has several flash storage systems patents that have been granted or are in process. Prior to SandForce, Andy was Sr. Director of Firmware, Software and Memory Systems at SanDisk, and prior to that, he held senior manager positions at Quantum, Maxtor and IBM. Andy earned his BE in Special Engineering Programme from Brunel University, England.
